The Journey Behind the Mission
The inception of ArunaSocial Foundation is rooted in the extensive experience of Arup and Archana, who have spent over three decades working across the corporate sector and with diverse NGOs. Their journey enabled them to understand the limitations of conventional social interventions and highlighted the pressing need for models that not only address immediate livelihood concerns but also prepare communities for long-term economic resilience.
United by their belief that sustainable income generation is central to improving lives, they envisioned an organisation that bridges these gaps by equipping marginalised individuals with market-relevant skills and linking them to dignified economic opportunities. ArunaSocial Foundation is the outcome of this vision—a platform committed to enabling inclusive, future-ready livelihoods that can adapt to evolving social and economic landscapes.
Personal Philosophy
“At a personal level, both Archana and Arup believe in maintaining a simple and sustainable lifestyle. As a result of this, all their lifestyle choices are made by keeping the interest of people and the planet first.”
